PRESS RELEASE
AUTHORS LOVE LIBRARIES EVENT
Friends of Clapp Memorial Library Celebrate Love Your Library Month!
Belchertown, MA (January 27, 2011)—Across the United States, February is “Love Your Library” Month. In honor of that, the Friends of Clapp Memorial Library will host “Authors Love Libraries,” an opportunity for local prose writers to share an excerpt from their writing. On Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., writers of all ages can come to Clapp Memorial Library in Belchertown, and read up to three pages from a longer piece of their work. Refreshments will be available.
“Although it’s not necessary to reserve a spot,” stated Martina Robinson, the coordinator of this new event. “We do encourage signing up at the Circulation Desk at the Library.” One of the reasons the Friends encourage an informal registration is that if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstance, people can be contacted. Donations to the Friends will be welcome at the event.
